This coming Saturday's
Dubuque Telegraph-Herald is scheduled to print an article about the potential Dubuque / SJ(C?) partnership. I was interviewed this morning and did my best to present the case that while many people here are supportive of Dubuque's efforts, some must have assurances that the mistakes of the past (termination without notice, students left without a school to attend) will not be repeated. The surest way to accomplish this remains, in my opinion, the exclusion of President Dobler and the Trustees from the equation.
So is the Dubuque Telegraph reading this blog?
ReplyDeletePerhaps or perhaps not but a Google search of "Sheldon Jackson College" produces Wikipedia as result number 1 (and 2) and this site as the next in line.
ReplyDeleteNot bad. Not bad at all. I hope people are reading it.
I do not know how the paper found me, buy like Lion said, google lists it pretty quick.
ReplyDeleteI tried to purchase the artical on the Dubuque Telegraph Herald's web site, but could not get their purchasing form to load. Did anyone else se this artical, and if so what did it say?
ReplyDeleteThe Telegraph updates its website at 10:00AM central time, so check back for article in about an hour.

ReplyDeleteIt's basically a fluff piece - not much depth or actual digging into claims: ("The campus is a mixture of historic buildings ... and some fairly modern buildings," Dobler said. "Essentially, they are in good shape.") Anyone who is really interested in the shape of the buildings could look back at the entries in this blog.
