The accreditation was continued, after the school closed, until March 31, 2008 in order to allow students who were close to their degrees to finish (at the U of A) as a part of a "teachout" agreement. So now the school can no longer post degrees. Alumni, please note that transcripts are available from the State of Alaska, rather than SJCV, at http://www.alaskadvantage.state.ak.us/documents/Closed_School_Transcript_Request_083107.pdf
With the suspension of academic programs and the termination of nearly all staff, Sheldon Jackson College is undergoing a period of serious tumult. What will happen to the 130 year old institution? This site will attempt to keep folks informed.

Is there anyone still working at the college, do we know?
What does this mean for everyone? I don't understand.
I think it simply means they can no longer offer accredited degrees. It should not change anything for us. The school was accredited when we attended.
