Hames PE Center falls short in election

I'll post the KCAW story shortly, but the gist is that all three Hames funding proposals were pretty soundly rejected by voters on October 5th.

The city has not commented on what may be next for the center.

I just posted on Alaska Governor, Sean Parnell's Facebook
===========
Governor Parnell, please consider a partnership with Sheldon Jackson College and Saint Leo University. Very similar histories. St. Leo went from rags to riches and now look at it at http://saintleo.edu Voted in top 100 schools in Forbes. St. Leo has several 'centers' around the world. Consider this partnership to bring back Sheldon Jackson (let's start calling it University) SJU
