According to Raven Radio the city did purchase the SJ Incinerator Site at the May 12th Assembly meeting. I’d guess this would squarely put the liability of the contaminated soils on the back of the city and SJ will be clear of the potentially expense of a future cleanup.

I heard a rumor that University of Dubuque (Iowa) is seriously considering buying the campus there. Is this true and it that progressing? Someone told me that it was in the Sentinel.
It's been mentioned by members of the SJ(C?) Trustees, but "seriously considering" may be a stretch. There is little known publicly about where in the process they are. It could be anything from serious consideration to wishful thinking. I've heard nothing new about it for quite some time, and it first made news some months ago.
