Due to people asking me about the SJC Board meeting, I thought I would send out an email. There is a public testimony agenda item at the SJC board of trustee meeting next Wed. June 24 at 1300 (1:00) in the afternoon at Rasmusen on campus. If you would like to present or be heard, show up at 1:00

Nice one. In the afternoon when people have to work!!!!!!!!What happened anything or was it the same crowd? You know people work if they at all can. That does NOT MEAN WE ARE NOT INTERESTED!!!!!!!!And MONEY< MONEY MONEY , what about looking another way and using the asset of the grounds and college to show off to the droves of tourists the city wants to impress.
Hey, I heard University of Dubuque is buying out SJ. Someone please fill us in! I heard it was in Sitka Sentinel tonight but because I live like a thousand miles from there...I don't have details......so someone....DETAILS DETAILS!
Come on, somebody, bring us all up to date! We care, too, even if we are not there. Did ANYTHING come of it??
UD bought our SJC, I'm going back to Sitka!
The time in Sitka is 4:50pm on Thursday, the meeting was at noon on Wednesday.....does anyone know what happened? Is the U of D story true or not? Huh?
Not true.
The U of D will be here in Sitka in August to look at the school. The city of Sitka is putting 5 grand to help promote SJ to Dubuque.
The board more or less said if the sale to Debuque fails then the borad will file Chapter 7 bankrupcy.
Thanks, Marcel--you always come through. I guess we should all cross our fingers for that August visit. But where on earth would UD get the $$$s to even consider it?
Most schools are pretty strapped for cash now. Mebbe theyu struck oil?!!
I suppose with $5k they could take the boards off the windows and spray paint over the mold, but if UD decides to kick the tires the whole damn place might collapse.
As a grandson of a UD grad(who also has a self sustaining scholarship in his honor at UD) my family stays well informed on goings on at UD. If you just go to their website you can easily find a mound of information showing what kind of funds UD has at their disposal. Hopefully god blesses our beloved SJ and and makes the powers that be at UD see the positive addition the SJ campus would make to their top notch institution

It seems only one side gets answered. And on some sites some comments are deleted. HMMMMMMMm.
Anon, what side is not getting answered? Do you think the board actually has legitimate standing in this argument?
From what I know, which is admittedly little, the only comments getting deleted are probably either deleted by the commenter or contain profane or inflammatory language. Chris and Marcel are good guys and are just trying to keep people informed with what is happening around SJ.
